100 gms butter - Unsalted
100 gms (1cup) finely powdered sugar- sifted
4 tsp cocoa
2 tsp milk
100 gms (1cup) coarsely crushed roasted peanuts
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 packet or 4 pieces of mint sweets (polo) -optional
Method-
- Cut butter into small cubes. In a heavy bottomed karahi, put butter and milk.
- Add sifted powdered sugar and cocoa also.
- Keep the karahi on a tawa (griddle) kept on slow fire. Do not cook on direct heat. Heat for 2 minutes stirring continuously till butter melts the sugar dissolves. Do not cook for long.
- Remove from fire.
- Powder 4 pieces of mint sweets and add to the hot chocolate mixture. Mix well.
- Cool the Chocolate mixture. Add vanilla essence and nuts. Cool the mixture further in the refrigerator, till it is thick and can be shaped into balls.
- Make balls. Wrap in small pieces of aluminium foil. Refrigerate.
- Serve at B'day parties, as a special sweet or with coffee after dinner parties.
