Stewed Apple With Rabri

To Stew Apples
    3 Apples
    3 cups water
    4 tsp sugar
    1 tsp lemon juice
    1/2" stick dalchini. 

Custard
   3 cups apple syrup
   3 tsp sugar
   3 tsp custard powder
   Few pista.

  1. Peel apples. Cut into equal halves. Remove seeds with a scooper carefully.
  2. Boil water with sugar, lemon juice and dalchini. 
  3. Add the apple pieces. Cook, covered for 3-4 minutes till apples turn soft.
  4. Remove the apples from the syrup and arrange the apples in a serving dish. Keep aside. Reserve the syrup.
  5. Dissolve custard powder in 1/2 cup syrup.
  6. Boil the left over syrup with sugar.
  7. Add the dissolved custard, stirring continuously.
  8. Boil till the syrup turns translucent and slightly thick. (5-6 minutes).
  9. Pour the syrup over the apples placed in a serving dish. Chill. Sprinkle shredded pista in the centre of each apple.
  10. Serve chilled apples with sweetened thin cream or rabri.
