Stewed Apple With Rabri
To Stew Apples
3 Apples
3 cups water
4 tsp sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2" stick dalchini.
Custard
3 cups apple syrup
3 tsp sugar
3 tsp custard powder
Few pista.
- Peel apples. Cut into equal halves. Remove seeds with a scooper carefully.
- Boil water with sugar, lemon juice and dalchini.
- Add the apple pieces. Cook, covered for 3-4 minutes till apples turn soft.
- Remove the apples from the syrup and arrange the apples in a serving dish. Keep aside. Reserve the syrup.
- Dissolve custard powder in 1/2 cup syrup.
- Boil the left over syrup with sugar.
- Add the dissolved custard, stirring continuously.
- Boil till the syrup turns translucent and slightly thick. (5-6 minutes).
- Pour the syrup over the apples placed in a serving dish. Chill. Sprinkle shredded pista in the centre of each apple.
- Serve chilled apples with sweetened thin cream or rabri.
